We've always done our HIER before the EIER but mainly because that's how our instruments proceed.

Subject: [Histonet] HIER and EIER

When used in combination, is it better to use HIER (Heat Induced Epitope Retrieval) first or EIER (Enzyme Induced Epitope Retrieval) first. Or does it depend upon the antigen of interest?

Any references?

Thanks,
Laura Bliven
