[Histonet] rat heart cryos' for immunos

We are using isopentane and it takes about a minute to freeze the tissue.  There appears to be cracks between the muscle fibers.

How are you freezing your tissue? It's probably freezing artifact. Does it
look like big donut holes in the middle of the muscle fibers?

Does anyone know why heart cryos tend to separate?  We've tried fresh
frozen, NBF perfused, sucrose perfused and FBS perfused and the heart tissue
has 'holes' in it.
