Dawn,
when I had my CLIA inspection a couple of years ago, the only thing that was
brought up was how long we keep consult blocks and slides before we return
them to the submitting facility. Our standard answer is at least 2 weeks
after the case is signed out.

Subject: [Histonet] CLIA regs

hi all,
Does anyone know if there is any CLIA reg that covers maintaining records of
slides and or blocks that are sent out and then returned from outside
facilities? I know per CAP that you must keep blocks and slides 10 years but
this doesn't really cover this aspect. Any feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
