I've done this with gore-tex grafts in carotids - in paraffin sections
routinely processed. They were pretty nice - I don't know if the acrylic
would hold up to xylene, however. So, my answer is pretty much useless -

Subject: [Histonet] Tendons
Hello ....
I've been asked to obtain histological sections from rabbit tendons with
an acrylic fiber inside to see how the tissue incorpores the fiber.
I can try to do it frozen or parafin embedding, although I think I can
cut the acrylic fiber with no one of the methods. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
