Anyway, I miss the older generation of histotechnicians (as we used to
call them over here). My first encounter was with one Des Brady in
Sheffield. He was great. If you asked for a special stain, he would say
"do you want it positive or negative boss?"
That's what I call skill:-)
<Did he pull his forelock and bow? I'm surprised someone able to stain
the sections depending on the outcome you wanted rather than to
demonstrate the presence or absence of any substance filled you with
admiration. Define 'older'; is this based on age, culture or intellect?>
