[Histonet] Isopropanol tissue processing

Dear HistoNetters

For isopropanol to work as an intermedium, it has 
to be evaporated out of the paraffin.  It is not, 
technically, a clearing agent.  It works in 
microwave processing because the paraffin is 
heated above the boiling temperature of 
isopropanol (82°C at room temperature).  I 
wouldn't think one would want to heat paraffin 
like this in a routine overnight processor.
