[Histonet] phosphorylation state-specific antibodies (PSSA's)

The brief explanation is ------ they are antibodies used in the study of
protein phosphorylation. They target phosphorylation state-specific sites
in various kinase cascades. They are being looked at in cancer research for
possible Biomarker indications and to understand the mechanism of signal
transduction pathways in different diseases. Until recently, they were not
used for IHC, mostly IP and Western blots. There is a good article in the
American Journal of Pathology, Vol. 163, No 5, November 2003. The Cell
Signaling catalogue is also very good.

So far getting xenograft tumor tissue to stain has been a challenge. Human
tumors stain pretty well as do cell pellets. If anyone is having success, I
would really like to talk with you.

Regards,
Gina

Is anyone working with phosphorylated antibodies? Please share your
experiences with us if you are.
Thank you,
Patsy
