[Histonet] special stains

dear histonetters,
A question about general procedure of special stains.
Do you allow the slides to dry after deparaffination and rehydration and perform the stain afterwards?
Or do you take care, that the slides never dry out? And the stain suffers from drying?

We do the stains on "dry" slides and had never complaints (but who knows why).
