[Histonet] Exploding Skin

Dear Glen,

thanks for that little gem, I thought I had dropped the temperature as low
as I dared to 36C! I will try that and the other gem of adding ethanol to
the waterbath. I had given up my old trick of floating out from 15% ethanol
as it seemed to make the problem worse!

Thanks a lot.

Margaret

Margaret,

Your problem is, most likely, not a processing one but a water bath one.
Try cutting the skin again with your flotation bath @ 29 degrees C or LESS.
The cooler flotation bath will help prevent the skin from blowing up. I
would personally start at room temperature and warm it up slowly if this
presents problems with wrinkles. I've had this same problem and this fix
works every time.

Best of Luck,
