I was speaking to a MLT who works in a small lab in TX and she said that she
felt her hearing had become so bad because of the centrifuges, lab hoods,
and other robotic machines that she is exposed to every day.
I know that our EM Lab has two table top hoods, four refrigerators,
microwave, large lab hood, cryostat all in one room and it is so refreshing
when I walk out of that room. Forget about speaking normally in the lab, we
have to shout to one another.
Has anyone performed a decibel reading of the high pitches or other sounds
affecting our ears?
Thank you in advance to all who read and respond.
