I will vote with Peggy on this one - plus use human for human tissue
staining and animal for animal tissue staining. Having a variety of tissue
components in the control sample is important rather than a using a
homogenous tissue (liver, spleen). Often animal tissue is acquired from a
critter that is already dead, a fresh sample should be accessed. For those
in research, not difficult to collect intestine or kidney. We would wash
out fecal matter from mouse/rat intestine using PBS followed by injection
of fixative in order to have the lumen fixed well. Fecal matter is not the
greatest to section!

Intestine and kidney wins my day.
