[Histonet] Alcian Blue Problems

We generally do a pH 2.5 alcian blue stain in combination with a warthin
starry on our gastric bx's.  When we got in some new stain all of the
mucosa on the slides started turning blue.  I have checked the pH and it is
alright.  We tried diluting the solution to see if the new dye might be too
potent, with no luck.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I am not sure
what to do next to troubleshoot.
