Has anyone had any success working with CD 52 in paraffin sections?

We are using the rat anti-human CD52 from Serotec. CD 52 is meant to be a
cell surface membrane marker, but we are getting nuclear staining. Serotec
are not able to confirm either way whether this is artifactual or real,
saying that they have no evidence to the contrary that nuclear staining
should not be expected.

Microscopically it looks real enough with lymphocytic staining in tonsils,
and with very clean preparations on positive controls and nothing on
negatives.

We have only been able to find one reference to CD 52's use in paraffin
sections (J Clin Pathol 1994; 47: 313)

Considering that treatment with CAMPATH therapy is pretty drastic, we are
very hesitant to suggest treatment based on the IHC findings, at present

Any help appreciated

Thanks
Ronnie
