Jim,
one must have been trained before 1995 if they do not have any college
credit. After 1995, you must have at least 60 semester hours, with courses
in chemistry, biology, anatomy. You do not have to be certified, but your
procedures must include the types of specimens one may gross under the
direct supervision of a pathologist as well as documentation of at least
annual performance.
