I agree...I've worked with 30 micron paraffin liver sections...you
should try to cut with a very slow velocity, using a non disposable
microtome blade (I've used a plane wedge type) and warm the block, by
breathing on, as you cut every section.

Try warming the block up, in fact don't bother cooling the block at all.
