The LKB knifemaker is a great tool. In my experience poor quality knives
are due to the machine being out of adjustment. The scoring pressure
could be too low (or too high), you might need a new scoring wheel or
the clamping head may be applying insufficient pressure. Also, the score
may not be in the proper position for a good break.. Find the
instructions (a fold-up laminated sheet that fits in a slot under the
machine), get a glass strip and take an hour to figure out what the
problem is. I would be surprised if the instrument was beyond repair.
