[Histonet] how to embed/section mesentery?

Hi Felix:

    For mesentaries some people like a "spread" rather than a section. 
Take out several loops of intestine and pin them out on a sheet of cork 
or dental wax with a tiny bit of tension on the mesentary so it is flat. 
Submerge in fix. You can process the whole "block" this way throught 
alcohols and clearing, then cut out and mount the sheet of mesentary on 
a slide without embedding. Yes it will be thicker than a section but you 
will see a nice 3D tissue with capillaries etc.
