Trisha,
Which substitute are you using? I have found that BrdU is a very hardy
(and therefore easly demonstrated) epitope. I have done BrdU IHC on
tissues which were fixed in several different fixatives as well as on
frozen sections and not had any problems. If you would identify the
fixative yuo may find that someone on the list has already done this and
may be able to save you some development time.
