good morning,
   Yes antigenicity can be lost on slides. I recommend that you cut 25 
slides test the first and last then keep a log . When the stainging starts 
to decrease, that will tell you the life of your slide antigenicity.
Temp and climate effect slides in a lab as well as fixation and processing 
of specimens. Thats one reason controls are to be obtained from with in 
one's lab. If labs send out immunos,if or ish control tissue should be sent 
from the lab to the reference to be completely accurate for the test to be 
correct.
