The Gallyas method I have used is in Bancroft, JD: THEORY AND 
PRACTICE OF HISTOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES, New York: Churchill Livingstone, 
1996
.
Please, don't everyone send me scolding emails at once, I was using 
my old memory as a reference, rather than actually taking down the 
book and looking it up. (At least I remember using this staining 
method!).
