I did my slide for my registry, and when the pathologist saw the stain, he immediately made the manager change our procedure because the results were so much better! Now, Statlab bought out AM, so I am unsure if the kit is still available, but it?s worth a look :) Best of luck! ________________________________ From: Terri Braud via Histonet Sent: Wednesday, March 4, 2026 1:47:15 PM To: histonet at lists.utsouthwestern.edu Subject: [Histonet] Retic Poll Hi Techs - For those of you performing a Manual Retic Stain - What method do you use? I am wondering if anyone could kindly advise where I might obtain validation material for FOLR-1. Ideally, I am looking for TMA blocks or prepared slides that could be used for validation purposes. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations or guidance on suppliers, institutions, or resources that could provide these materials. Thank you very much in advance for your support. It can source, screen, sort, and speed up the early steps of the process. But here?s the part no one is saying out loud: AI is improving the part of hiring that was never the real problem. In healthcare ? especially in histology ? the real challenge isn?t finding people. It?s earning their trust. Whether you?re hiring or quietly open to hearing about roles, here?s what AI can?t do: It can?t pull someone into a conversation they weren?t planning to have. It can?t build rapport. It can?t protect confidentiality. It can?t navigate the emotional side of a career move. Here?s what AI itself says on the subject: ?I can identify qualified professionals, but I cannot initiate or sustain the human trust required to recruit them.? ? AI And here?s what I hear from both sides: >From a hiring manager: ?We spent all this money on AI and I don?t see any more or better candidates.? >From a candidate: ?I don?t want to put all my personal information online before I even know what the job really is.? These are the real barriers AI can?t solve ? but relationship recruiting can. I just published a short article on why AI will never replace attraction + trust in histology hiring. You can read it here: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/ai-can-source-screen-cant-recruit-pam-barker-cvxif If the link isn?t live, you can copy it into your browser or check it out on my linked in page at If you?re planning ahead, short staffed, or quietly open to new roles, I?m always here to help ? confidentially and at your pace.
