What information do you request from researchers before performing work for them? Do you have any specific forms that you require them to fill out prior to doing the work? Are you required to keep a laboratory notebook and if so what information do you record in the notebook (obviously any lab calculations are necessary but what do you put for basic tasks like tissue processing, embedding and microtomy) From cforster at umn.edu Fri Nov 1 16:22:57 2024 From: cforster at umn.edu (Colleen Forster) Date: Fri, 1 Nov 2024 16:22:57 -0500 Subject: [Histonet] SOP for Leica RM2255 microtome Message-ID: Hello Histonet, I am tasked with writing an official SOP for the RM2255 microtome. I have always referred to the manual if I had questions but now need that official SOP format. Does anyone have one written for the RM2255 and would be willing to share? The manual has like 179 pages. Trying to sift through and decide exactly what I actually need in the SOP is a bit daunting. Thank you in advance! You do not need the steel or tungsten blades for those. I use those disopo blades for everything I cut in the cryostat, even decalcified bones of small size. I have been given the task of working up the HSV 1/2 Ab on the Bond 3 and Bond Prime. I ran the Biocare predilute using an Enzeme 2 Pretreatment w/ 14 ml/ 1 drop as suggested by Sheron Lear to assist in keeping the sections on the slide. Unfortunately, our pathologist thought there was too much background. Any suggestions? I am willing to do titrations for optimization.
