[Histonet] Histonet Digest, Vol 162, Issue 26 butterflies

I have no experiences w butterflies, but the chitin in ticks, carpenter ants and spiders does not cut well.  
For insects and arthropods we post-fix in Carnoy's for 60 minutes
Then soften with 10% KOH RT for 10-20 minutes 
then wash for 30-60minutes in water. Long processing cycle.
