Hi
I have found that blocks that were insufficiently decalcified, responded best when taken back to formalin left in buffered formalin for 24 hrs and then decalcified. If you take them back to water then decalcify them, decalcification will cause more damage to the tissue then if they spend some more time in formalin. You can also put them through the clean cycle to take them back to water.

Hello,
We had several tissue cassettes put on the processor before they were decaled. Can I just melt the blocks, run thru xylene, alcohol & water. Put in decal and re-process?
Thanks in advance for your expert advice!
