I've been doing this PSR stain for a few years now on various types of tissue sections of pretty much routine thickness (4-5 microns). I was asked today if the stain would penetrate a thicker section - like 40 or more microns. Even a vibratome section.
The tissue is pig optic nerve and a small bit of surrounding tissue.
When stained with PSR, the routine thickness sections were awesome.
