I believe the question is what is the "O" signify.
as in OG6 the O is for orange.

Do you mean that you were asked to do Oil Red O (ORO) stain?
It is described in any technology book.
I piece of advise: stain the nuclei with hametoxyline first and after that 
stain with ORO
