All I recall about controls in HC procedures (any of them) is to have a (+) control. The only one that requires both (-) and (+) is PAS

Is anyone using a negative control for AFB stains?  If so is there a regulation that states negative controls should be run for AFB stains.  I seem to recall seeing such a regulation but cannot find it.
