I have a tech who complains about static/compression in our cell blocks, but I don't seem to have the same problem as her. The difference? I face my blocks and then soak it on my waterbath for about 15 -30 seconds and then it goes onto the ice tray. The additional moisture that is soaked up in the block seems to correct the issue for me. Sort of like breathing heavily on the block!
