Hi,
    This is just a guess, but would degenerating muscle have Cleaved Caspase
3 or Tunel reactivity?

According to the literature, alkaline phosphatase is seen in both
regenerating and degenerating muscle fibers.  How would one differentiate
between the two.  I have been unable to find the answer to this.
