[Histonet] Saffron/Eosin as a counterstain for H&E???

Its hematoxylin, ploxine and saffron.  Believe it or not it was the
stain that we used at my first job back in 1973.  We also fixed in
Zenkers too.

Hello,

Our pathologist said that he say H&E slides with a counterstain that had
some amount of saffron in it?

Is anyone familiar with this?
