The volume of water under the section onto slide are
very small for microwave heating and this water
cannot be heated adequately. Paraffin is transparent
for microwave and therefore instead drying of slides
you will have a damaged magnetron.
Never dry paraffin sections in MWO!

How about microwaving to dry slides?
Can that cause nuclear bubbling?
When you say completely drained off,
does that mean your slides have to be
completely dry prior to placing them in the oven?
