[Histonet] Storage of tissue

Is there a difference in storage requirements for veterinary histology
specimens as opposed to human tissues?  Specifically, storage of the tissue,
block and slides?  How many days/weeks would you need to store the tissue
sample if it is not totally submitted?  What would be the number of years
required for storage of the blocks and slides?  I would appreciate your
responses.
