[Histonet] Acidic mounting media

I have a researcher who is trying to duplicate a Fluoro-Jade C stain and 
they mount in a acidic mounting media(pH 4.5)
It is a 0.1% acetic acid and 80% glycerin.  Does anyone have a protocol 
for this?
