[Histonet] Iron stains on smears

Does anyone have experience with doing iron stains on smears that have
been prepared with blood from heparinized tubes?  We are having trouble
with our iron stain for bone marrow cases since we changed to
heparinized tubes and thought that could be the problem.  Thanks for
