Correction..BSA bought out Triumph. There were plans to combine
Norton,Triumph and BSA but that failed. It is now owned by the Regal BSA
Group and they turn out some retro bikes on a limited basis. Our is  '71
650CC Lightening.

Birmingham Small Arms Company.Founded in 1861 to supply arms to the
British government during
the Crimean War. They branched out and started building bicycles, 
automobiles and then motorcycles.They were eventually bought out by
Triumph

Betsy, you've got me curious now and I'm going to show my ignorance  
here, but what the heck's a BSA?  BMW I know, but BSA sounds like  
lyophilized cow serum, not a motorcycle.
