No problem
Just make sure that you remove digestive tract as it tends to bind alizarin.

Subject: [Histonet] skeletal staining

I'm in the middle of doing alcian blue/alizarin red whole skeletal chick preps and I have a question. The protocol I've chosen uses 95% ethanol for the fixative. I've already fixed in PFA. Is it possible to continue with the protocol? Are there any steps I should add? Thanks, Amanda Boyce
