[Histonet] bone and cart staining in the mouse tissue

I would not limiot yourself to those two stains although they are great and easy.  Add a VOn Kossa maybe for the calcium, and perhaps a panel of different ph's for the Alcian Blue and also maybe an AB/PAS for fun.  I thought I might have read something about one of the older hematxylins years ago staining bone/cartilage.  Erlichs, Delafiedls?
