We have used Propar clearent from Anatech in our linear stainer for ten
years now. We have it in the last tank where the slides can sit till
they are coverslipped. There is no odor and we find it to be quite
tolerant of high humidity conditions and it doesn't dry out the tissue.
It is not the fastest paraffin remover but then, we are only processing
frozen sections.
