[Histonet] PAS on 24 hour chicken embryo

Has anyone any advice on how to avoid non-specific staining of PAS in 24
hour chicken embryos? The yolky tissue seems to be very PAS positive. We use
whole mounts or 10um cryosections of 4% para fixed whole embryos, then 0.5%
PAS for 5 mins at RT, 2 mins washes in d water, Schiff's for 5 mins at 4C,
2x2mins rinses in H20/sodium metabisulfite/1N HCL, 10 mins wash in cool tap
water.
