Prefix is a solution that the company makes and will not give out the
specifics, like Dissect-Aid, etc.

We use Davidson's for lymph node fixation and it works great on fatty
tissues. We fix the large breasts and colons in this as well as putting
cassetted specimens in the rack in a container of Davidson's for a few hours
before being put into the processor. We feel it enhances our processing of
fatty tissues and lymph nodes. The formula is:

1500 ml. 37% formaldehyde
2250 ml. Absolut alcohol
75 ml. glacial acetic acid
2250 ml. tap water
eosin to color (not powder)
