The Cryo-Vac-Away vacuum system does not "decontaminate" the cryostat but it does keep the cryostat free of infectious trimming debris. As the block is faced off a nozzle at the blockface suctions away the trimming debris into a cold filter that is inside the cryostat. Pathogens that might escape the debris are stopped by a second viral/bacterial filter. The cryostat remains spotless!
