Many labs use the Paraffin Tape-Transfer (PSA) system specifically to ELIMINATE the water bath step which can cause problems. With the PSA the section with 600-1000 cores is captured on a tape and then directly transferred to a slide. The slide is ready for deparaffinazation immediately. Bernice
